Acoustic Wave Correlation of Time-Varying Disordered Structures

چکیده

An original model based on first principles is constructed for the temporal correlation of acoustic waves propagating in random scattering media. The describes dynamics wave fields a previously unexplored, moderately strong (mesoscopic) regime, intermediate between those weak scattering, one hand, and diffusing waves, other. It shown that by considering vector as free parameter can vary at will, provide an additional dimension to data, resulting tomographic-type reconstruction full space-time complex structure, instead plain spectroscopic technique. In Fourier space, problem reduced spherical mean transform defined family spheres containing origin, therefore easily invertible. results may be useful probing statistical structure various media with both spatial resolution.

Acoustic Wave Scattering From Thin Shelf Structures

A general asymptotic theory is developed to describe the acoustic response of heavily fluidloaded thin shells in the midfrequency regime between the ring and coincidence frequencies. The method employs the ideas of matched asymptotic expansions and represents the total response as the sum of an outer, or background response, plus an inner or resonant contribution. The theory is developed for th...

Correlation-enhanced control of wave focusing in disordered media

where the angular brackets denote ensemble average over different realizations of disorder. The terms C, C, C are called short-range, long-range, and infinite-range correlations, for C decays exponentially with the channel displacements ∆a ≡ a′ − a and ∆b ≡ b′ − b, C decays as a power law, and C is independent of ∆a and ∆b. For a waveguide geometry with the incident wave covering the entire cro...

Time-Dependent Signatures of Acoustic Wave Biosensors

Acoustic wave devices coated with a biolayer represent one biosensor approach for the detection of medically relevant biomolecules. In a typical application, the acoustic wave device is connected in an oscillator circuit, and the frequency shift f resulting from a biomolecular event is recorded. In this paper, we discuss our recent work in this field, which has included the use of Rayleigh wave...

Acoustic Wave propagation through multilayer Thue-Morse structures containing two, three and four materials of Cu, Al, MgO and Pb

In this paper, the acoustic wave propagation in multilayer Thue-Morse structures has theoretically been studied. The composing layers were assumed do be Cu, Al, Mgo and Pb materials. Two, three or four different materials have been used in a typical structure. By using a perpendicular incident acoustic wave, the transmission coefficient was calculated and then by its old, the frequency gaps was...
